Welcome to Mountain Beat Music showcasing original songwriters and musicians of Northern California ~ from Arcata to Mendocino to Chico to Santa Cruz! * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * There are so many talented musicians out there writing powerful music and not being heard. I feel the beauty in their song and the power in their words of love, inspiration and above all, their truth. Music is an infinite expression of life, has no borders, no boundaries, and reaches all walks of life. I have the desire to help share that creativity with the peoples of the World. My show highlights not only the polished musician, but the down-home, off the front porch musician – musicians who aren’t on mainstream radio. It’s truly amazing the music that can be produced and recorded by equipment run off of alternative energy sources, way out in the sticks! My show helps to bring these creative forces out of the woodwork and onto the airwaves. Mountain Beat Music has been broadcasting live on internet radio on the Open Mind Entertainment Network for nine months now and is now a 3-hour show!!! That means more music, more featured artists, and more fun!!! Thank you Ondre and everyone behind the scene at Open Mind Entertainment!!! We are currently updating our website to reflect the new shows and broadcasters coming onto the network so keep checking in for the most current schedule on www.openmindradio.com. * * * * * * Not only do I feature adult musicians, I have in the works a show highlighting Avelina, the 10 year old granddaughter of the owner of the Rhythms Music Café in Grass Valley; Darian, the 13 year old granddaughter of the owner of the Crazy Horse in Nevada City; and Danika the 14 year old daughter of the well loved muso, Stephen Holland. All three sing like angels and Danika plays guitar and writes her own music. We’re planning this special show at the Rhythms Music Café for sometime real soon. Also in the werks is a show at the Rhythms Music Café featuring Outta Hand and The Shreds. They are teen rockers and are working very hard on recording and promoting their original music. I love what the Café is doing for the young adults of our community ... offering a safe, healthy and open-hearted venue to gather and be creative! Stay tuned! There's a lot happening with Mountain Beat Music! |
